«Strong as a Bear» the 3 Bären Hotels offer

Get to know the wonderful Emmental valley by e-bike or on foot. Well-maintained hiking and cycle paths lead you up to the most beautiful vantage points.
Over gentle hills into shady valleys "Chrächen", along cool streams, through magical forests and past stately farmhouses with bright red geraniums and magnificent gardens.

Book your tour and spend the night in a different traditional and historic Bären Inn every night. Enjoy the Emmental hospitality.
The signposted routes of the Herzroute and "Hügu Himu" lead you from one hotel to the next. And your luggage will be waiting for you at the end of the stage.

CHF 495.- per person in a double room, incl. small gift (excl. drinks with dinner and e-bike rental)

Free parking for 3 days at the Gasthof Bären in Ranflüh, free luggage transport and e-bike charging stations at all 3 locations.

Day 3 Sumiswald to Dürrenroth
Overnight stay at Bären Dürrenroth

Visit to show dairy in Affoltern with a very beautiful view.

Part of the big Sumiswald round trip - time approx. 5.30 hours, length 41.57 km, up and down Route no. 747/755! Sumiswald - Schaufelbühlegg, then Route no. 99 to Madiswil, from Madiswil no. 71 to Huttwil, finally on no. 94 from Huttwil to Dürrenroth

Day 4 (departure) Dürrenroth - Ranflüh

Time approx. 2.36 hours, length 20.50 km, ascent and descent 466/537

Dürrenroth - Oberwald, then no. 399 from Oberwald to Sumiswald Stutzhüsli, from Stutzhüsli no. 699 to Sonnhalde, the rest of the route Sonnhalde via Ramisberg, Benzenberg to Ranflüh

1st day Arrival at the Bären Ranflüh

2nd day Ranflüh to Sumiswald
Overnight stay at Bären Sumiswald

Time approx. 3.36 hours, length 12.02 km/up and down 564/491m
Ranflüh - Ried (beautiful farms) to Glattenwasen - Geilisgut towards Schwarzenegg - Heimisbach, short crossing of the village with a short ascent towards Musterplatz and Harendegg (very beautiful mountain view) - descent via Harisberg to Sumiswald

Day 3 Sumiswald to Dürrenroth
Overnight stay at Bären Dürrenroth

Time approx. 3.15 hours, length 11.85 km, ascent and descent 352/353
Sumiswald - Kneubühl - Sattlershaus via Schonegg (wonderful views as far as the Jura) on towards Dreherhüsli - Schaber - Oberwald, followed by an easy descent towards Dürrenroth

Day 4 (departure) Dürrenroth - Ranflüh

Time approx. 4.28 hours, length 17.28 km, ascent and descent 419/486
Dürrenroth in the direction of Weier - Griesbach - Gammenthal - Grünen, beautiful flat stage easy to hike, to Grünenmatt, slight ascent towards Ramisberg and on to Ranflüh

Possibility to use public transport from Häusernmoos/Weier or Sumiswald.

Tuesday to Saturday from 9 am to 11.30 pm.
Our kitchen is open from 11.30 am until 13.15 pm and 18.00 pm until 21.00 pm

Sunday and Monday are our restaurant closed.
